The Concorde Conference Centre in Manchester at The Runway Visitor Park is one of the UK’s most distinctive and memorable event venues, featuring the legendary Concorde aircraft suspended above the main hangar space. Combining history, innovation, and scale, it’s a favourite location for corporate events, awards nights, conferences, and gala dinners. Its vast open-plan layout provides a perfect blank canvas for creative technical production and design.

For this particular event, we provided full event lighting and technical production to deliver an airport-themed awards night beneath the iconic Concorde.

At the heart of the setup was an 8-metre runway-style stage, built directly under the aircraft, complete with RGB LED pixel battens running down each side to create a fun sense of motion! Runway lighting effects from Titan Pixel Tubes were used around the venue and a specially produced comedy staff video reel (filmed by our team and staged by the client) helped bring the theme to life.

We built two custom projector frames with many meters of pixel battens which sat either side of Concorde’s supersonic engines!

The Conference kitchen provided an actual Concorde meal, making guests feel as though they were part of a first-class flight experience.
